Website not loading (checklist)

What this solves

Your site isn’t loading. This checklist helps you find the cause.

1. Check from another device/network

Use your phone (mobile data) or another network. If it works there, the issue may be your ISP or local DNS cache. Try flushing DNS (e.g. ipconfig /flushdns on Windows).

2. Check DNS

Does the domain resolve? Use an online DNS lookup and check that the A record points to the correct server IP. If DNS is wrong, fix it at your registrar or DNS host. See “DNS not resolving.”

3. Check hosting

Can you log in to cPanel? If not, the account may be suspended (payment) or the server may have an issue. Check email for suspension notices. Open a ticket if the server is down.

4. Check the site itself

If the server responds but the site errors, see “403 / 404 / 500 errors.” Check .htaccess, file permissions, and that the document root has index.php or index.html.

Tip: Use “is it down” tools to see if the server responds from multiple locations.

When to contact support

If DNS is correct and you can’t access cPanel or the server, open a ticket with your domain and any error message.
